OKTOBERFEST - SUNDAY, SEPT. 10, 2006

Oktoberfest has been observed annually at our restaurant for 15 years. Starting with a small polka band and 60 enthusiastic participants dancing on an asphalt surface, it has grown and now has a capacity of 250 plus customers, an outdoor bar, a dance floor and a wonderful german menu. Joan's homemade apple strudel always abounds. We still have the polka band, and the enthusiasm here at San Juan rivals the original Oktoberfest in the beautiful city of Munich even though we are somewhat smaller in size.

Year after year the customers are summoned by mail via our "special customer" list. They come from all over the bay area to sing, to dance and to visit with friends. It's what the Germans call "Gemutlichkeit," meaning old fashioned happiness and good feeling. Our Oktoberfest has become a tradition in this wonderful historical town of San Juan Bautista.

There is a cover charge for the entertainment. Reservations are accepted for parties of 10 or over. Seating for smaller groups is on a first come first serve basis. Call Joan or Peter at 831-623-4521 for information.
