ausgezeichneten Sauerbraten and hausgemachte Spaetzle, hervorragende
Kartoffelpuffer mit Schmand und Raeucherlachs sowie ein sehr zuenftiges
Wienerschnitzel. Die Atmosphaere war sehr angenehm und die Bedienung
freundlich.

Joan and Peter have created a teutonic
treat in San Juan Bautista. Of several German restaurants in the
central coast area, Joan and Peter’s is the best and most authentic to
a Bavarian Gasthaus. Peter is an artist with Sauerbraten, & his
schnitzels establish a high standard to be envied by imitators.
As for atmosphere, this is home; it is a friendly place with warm and friendly owners.

A taste of Bavaria in San Juan Bautista
For
a real taste of great traditional German food, a stop at Joan and
Peter’s restaurant is a must. Peter recommends the veal and he knows
what he is recommending as all dishes tried were great but also try the
Wurst and a Spaten Beer for that Bavarian experience.
